Experts consider that there is a high rate of the tooth decay among high school pupils. Therefore, the Ministry of the Education, Culture and Science has decided to forbid the sale of sugar products around high schools, taking effect from 1st September. In first phase of the implementation of the ban, carbonated soft drinks are officially forbidden to be sold. Their next plan is to forbid the products, which have high concentrate and amount of sugar and subsequently instant noodles will be banned, in accordance with the Ministry’s list.
