In last few days, the results of the election for Nalaikh District Governor have been announced. In total, 10,540 citizens participated out of the 20,315 Nalaikh population; 140 of which were deemed mistaken and invalid. The General Electoral Commission counted votes by hands. According to the General Electoral Commission the 51.88% turn-out makes the election valid; The results are as follows: 1744 votes for D.Batbaatar (16.7%), 969 votes for B.Bayandelger (9.32%), 304 votes for G.Boldbaatar (2.92%), 458 votes for D.Ganbold (4.4%), 550 votes for N.Manduul (5.29%), 2121 votes for Ts.Minjinkhuu (20.39%), 3215 votes for Sh.Khaan (30.91%) and 1039 votes for D.Tsogoo (9.99%). Under the City and Local Legal Code, the winner must take at least 50% of the votes. None of the candidates achieved this. Therefore, the Nalaikh District is going to hold re-election between the two candidates who took highest votes namely, Sh.Khaan took 30.91%, Ts.Minjinkhuu 20.39%. The chief of the General Electoral Commission, O.Manarbek informed that reelection will take a place on Thursday this week.
