The 2015 Asian Judo Championship began yesterday in Kuwait. A total of 201 judokas from 21 countries are participating in the event, and on the first day of the championship the Mongolian team earned one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
In the women's 63 kg event International Master of Sport Ts.Munkhzaya defeated Japanese judo silver medal winner Nikishikava Makhotoi for the championship gold.
World champion M.Urantsetseg (48 kg) and M.Bundmaa (52 kg) both won silver medals, and International Master of Sport D.Tumurkhuleg (66 kg) and G.Odbayar (73 kg) both earned bronze.
Senior Coach of the National team O.Baljimnyam, and female coaches Kh.Erdenet-Od and Sh.Tsevelmaa prepared the judokas for their victories.
