The first Mongolian alpinist, G.Usukhbayar, will climb the highest mountain in Australia. He will go to Australia on April 16.
G.Usukhbayar is more than half-way to completing his goal of climbing the highest mountains on several continents, and in order to become a Seven Summit climber, he has three peaks left to climb. His next challenge waits in Australia.
G.Usukhbayar has climbed Mt. Everest, Mt. McKinley in North America, and Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. He raised the Mongolian national flag at the peak of Mt. Elbrus in Europe and Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America. His final challenges are Vinson Massif in Antarctica, and the Carstensz Pyramid, the highest mountain in Australia and Oceania.
After completing the climb in Australia, he will become the first Mongolian alpinist to reach five of the highest peaks in the world.
