Oyu Tolgoi has chosen its best domestic supplies to honor in an awards ceremony called the “Erdenin Gobi” (Gobi Gem), which was held for its 6^th year.

The company selected its top suppliers in the following categories as winners of Gobi Gem 2014:

-Best Occupational Safety Company – Bats Urguu LLC

-Best Business Expansion Company – Central Geological Laboratory

-Company with the Best Social Responsibility – Auro Mongolia LLC

-Most Improved Supply Chain – Ver Minerals Mongolia LLC

-Best Umnugobi Supplier – Gobi Gurvan Saikhan LLC

-Best Khan Bogd Supplier -Khanbogd Khurd LLC

-Best New Supplier – Mongolian Airlines Company

-Grand Prix – Support Service Mongolia LLC

The management of the company stressed that last year, Oyu Tolgoi LLC cooperated with more than 800 national supply companies. 

Last year, OT's total purchases in Mongolia were 457 million USD, which constituted 77 percent of the company's operational expenses. A total of 301 million USD was spent on products from domestic suppliers. 

Purchases carried out so far in 2015, in comparison with 2010, have increased by 28 times and have reached 42 million USD.
