The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia from Turkey paid an official visit to Selenege aimag on March 6 and 7, to participate in a meeting dedicated to economic and cultural sector development, to be introduced to the activities of the free trade zone at Altanbulag, and to enhance diplomatic relations with the public. 

Ambassador Murat Karagoz and accompanying officials have met with the Governor of Selenge aimag, S.Burenbat, and exchanged views on possibilities for cooperation in the education and food sector.

Afterwards, he participated in the opening ceremony of the Made in Turkey center in the free trade zone.  The Ambassador stressed that there are now 19 free trade zones operating in Turkey, the most active of which is the Ege free trade zone. Last year, the free trade zones of Turkey carried out trade of 3.5 billion USD. He pointed out that Turkey is adhering to a policy to create favorable conditions for foreign investors and avoid bureaucracy, and that it is possible to study cooperation in this area with Mongolia.
