During
the celebration of 804th anniversary of the Great Mongolian Empire and 89th
anniversary of the People”s Revolution of Mongolia, Uvs province’s B.Ganbat
defeated Champion G.Usukhbayar in the finals to win the title of Lion. He became
Falcon in 1993 by winning over Chamion Kh.Bayanmunkh in the fifth round and
achieved the title of Elephant by defeating Champion O.Baljinnyam in the
seventh round in 1999. B.Ganbat won six times in 2000, five times in 2001, six
times in 2002, five times in 2005, seven times in 2006, four times in 2007,
seven times in 2008 and five times in 2009.

The
new Lion was awarded Land Cruiser-200 which was presented by State General
Prosecutor D.Dorligjav. He became the first wrestler from Uvs province in
almost 20 years that won the national Naadam festival.

The
wrestlers were awarded Monday with the state titles, in accordance with a
decree of the President Ts.Elbegdorj.

The
title of Falcon has gone to Khovd province”s B.Zayamandakh, Uvurkhangai
province’s T.Sanchir and Selenge province’s Ch.Bayanmonkh for beating five
rivals each. Title of Hawk has been given to S.Munkhbat and A.Byambajav both
from Uvs province. Title of Hawk is given to wrestlers that won over six
opponents.

President
of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj, Prime Minister S.Batbold and other delegates visited
the archery field. Traditional archery on horseback was shown to the guests.
President followed the traditions and tested his marksmanship with five arrows,
one hitting the target.
