The Government of Mongolia issued a decision on January 4, 2014, to formally recognize and award the nation's three millionth citizen and all babies who are born on the same day in nine districts and 21 provinces.

According to a report from the Head of the National Statistics Committee, S.Mendsaikhan, the three millionth citizen of Mongolia was born on January 24, in Dalanzadgad soum of Umnugobi aimag, the daughter of Enkhtuvshin Khatanbold (father) and Ganbat Azzaya (mother).

To identify the three millionth citizen with 100 percent accuracy, all of the births and deaths in the month of January were calculated.

The Government of Mongolia will fund prizes for the three millionth citizen and the baby's contemporaries. The three millionth citizen of Mongolia will be awarded with an apartment or a cash prize up to 70 million MNT.

All children who were born at the same time will be granted three million MNT.
