The tax investigation case against former three employees of SouthGobi Sands was sent back to court.
The former employees of SouthGobi Sands are accused of tax evasion and money laundering according to Act 166.2 of the Criminal Code of Mongolia.
Justin Kapla, Hilarion Cajucom Jr., and Cristobal David are accused of intentional misstatements when reporting tax revenue in SouthGobi's financial statements.
The former employees of SouthGobi Sands are also accused of 84 billion MNT in tax evasion that should have been paid to the Government of Mongolia.
The Ulaanbaatar City Prosecutor's Office has refiled the case against the former employees of SouthGobi Sands based on the investigation of several transactions allegedly conducted on behalf of other companies.
