The second meeting of the task force on intergovernmental cooperation between Mongolia and France was held on December 8th. At the meeting, the parties exchanged information on the nuclear energy policies of Mongolia and France, the use of nuclear energy for peace, and discussed opportunities to launch a joint project to bring the latest cancer diagnosis & treatment technology to Mongolia.
The issues of radiation detection monitoring and the technical capability of the laboratory of the Nuclear Energy Agency of Mongolia were at the top of the agenda.
Deputy Foreign Affairs and Economic Cooperation of Mongolia D.Gankhuyag, and Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Tourism Promotion and of French Nationals Abroad Matthias Fekl delivered speeches and Chairman of the Nuclear Energy Agency of Mongolia N.Tegshbayar made a statement about cooperation on nuclear energy.
