Due to the high outbreak of seasonal influenza in the city, the Capital City Health Authority announced that family clinics in every khoroo in all districts will be open between 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
According to a December 1 report, 87,506 people had health checkups and 9.1 percent, or 7,943, of them were diagnosed with influenza. It was a 0.7 percent lower number of cases than last week.
However, 77 percent of those diagnosed were children between the ages of 0-9. Children's hospitals received 2,532 emergency calls and 1,029 emergency calls, or 40.6 percent, were cases of the flu.
