The IJF Judo Grand Prix Jeju 2014 was held from November 27-29th. The South Korean showdown, where 278 judokas from 42 countries competed, is being promptly followed next week by the season-ending Tokyo Grand Slam.
Thirteen of Mongolia's male judokas and 5 female judokas competed at IJF Judo Grand Prix Jeju 2014. Labor Hero of Mongolia and State Merit Athlete N.Tuvshinbayar won silver in the 100 kg division, while State Merit Athtlete D.Amartuvshin (60 kg), International Master G.Kherlen (60 kg), and N.Dagvasuren (81 kg) won bronze.
South Korea, host of the 2014 IJF Judo Grand Prix, led by winning 6 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals. France followed with 6 gold, one silver and one bronze win. Japan ranked third with one gold and two silver medals, trailed by Germany with two silver and two bronze medals.
The Mongolian judo team was ranked in sixth place with the success of one silver and three bronze medals.
