The Ulaanbaatar office of Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC), a global network of civil society organizations, held the International conference: Dimensions to create a Nuclear-Weapon Free Northeast Asia, in collaboration with Tsenkher suld NGO of Mongolia, at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Economic Cooperation of Mongolia on November 26th.
The international conference was attended by Mongolian researchers, GPPAC Northeast Asian partner organization representatives, and researchers and peace activists from Ulaanbaatar, Tokyo, Kyoto, Pyongyang, Seoul, Vladivostok, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
During the conference, participants discussed challenges and regional efforts for denuclearization, cross-border ties between civil society organizations, current development and future perspectives, demands and chances for a nuclear-free Northeast Asia and the role of Mongolia's nuclear free status, and strengthening regional efforts for denuclearization.
