The first constitution of the Mongolian People's Republic, or People's Republic of Mongolia, was passed by the First National Great Khural on November 26, 1924. Until the new Constitution of Mongolia was adopted on January 13, 1992, as Mongolia began dramatic political reforms and transitioned to a democratic society, earlier constitutions were adopted in 1940 and 1960. Constitution Day was celebrated as National Independence Day of Mongolia.

November 26, 2014, will mark the 90^th anniversary of the constitution first adopted in Mongolia.

On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences held a debate on the subject of “Reform of the Constitution”, in collaboration with the Mongolian National Democratic Party.

Head of the Mongolian National Democratic Party, M.Enkhsaikhan, addressed the audience and participants in the debate.
