The plenary session meeting of Parliament discussed the DP nomination for PM and accepted the candidate, Ch.Saikhanbileg, with a 95.5 percent approval and 2 rejections in a vote attended by 44 MPs.

All 26 MPP caucus  members were absent from the plenary session meeting to appoint a PM. Head of the Cabinet Secretariat for Government Ch.Saikhanbileg has become the 28th PM of Mongolia.

According to law, the PM should submit a new government to be formed to Parliament within 14 days of his appointment.

Ch.Saikhanbileg reported his action plan to parliament following his appointment.

The new PM says that Mongolia can end the economic downturn by taking bids on its two massive deposits.
