German national, Dr. Amelie Schenk was awarded the Order of Polar Star of Mongolia, in accordance with a decree by President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj on Thursday, November 13, 2014.

The prestigious award was given to Dr. Schenk by the Chief of Staff of the Office of the President, P.Tsagaan, at the Government House. The Order of Polar Star of Mongolia was given to her for efforts to promote Mongolia in European nations; conducting research on Mongolia's culture, science, tradition, customs, religion and shamanism; and publishing scientific and literature works that explore the nomadic nation's traditional lifestyle and culture.
