China briefly closed parts of its border with Mongolia as China marks the 65^th anniversary of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China, celebrated for four days between October 1-4^th.

Both sides close their borders briefly during national celebrations and holidays according to the Mongolia-China border treaty.
