Turkish Defense officials accompanied by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, İsmet Yılmaz, are to pay an official visit to Mongolia from September 25-26th.
The visit comes on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of building diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey. In the scope of the visit, not only bilateral defense issues but also regional and international issues are expected to be discussed.
During the visit to Mongolia, İsmet Yılmaz will meet with Defense Minister of Mongolia D.Bat-Erdene for official talks, sign several agreements and hold a joint press conference.
The Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey also plans to meet Mongolian Armed Forces servicemen who have completed peacekeeping missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
İsmet Yılmaz is also planning a visit to the Government House to exchange views on bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Turkey with Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag.
The Turkish delegation will also visit ancient Turkic monuments and remains in Arkhangai Province, Tonyukuk's memorial in the Nalaikh district, and the Chinggis Khaan monument in Tsonjin Boldog.
