A ceremony for the opening of an Honorary Consulate of Mongolia to the southwestern Blagoevgrad Province in Bulgaria was held in Sofia, Bulgaria, on August 28^th.

The Bulgarian CEO of Balkan Consulting, Pencho Ivankin, has been appointed the position of Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Bulgaria.

At the opening ceremony for the Honorary Consulate of Mongolia to Bulgaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Bulgaria L.Dugerjav, Director of Asia Australia and Oceania Directorate of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Bulgaria Angel Obertsov, and Honorary Consul of Mongolia Pencho Ivankin delivered speeches, and the Honorary Consul was presented with the consular patent, stamp and necessary documents and wished success in his mission.

Pencho Ivankin  is the first Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Blagoevgrad Province. The Honorary Consul said he would make contributions to protecting the legal rights of  Mongolian nationals studying and living in the region, make efforts to expand Mongolia-Bulgaria bilateral relations and cooperation, and promote Mongolia in Bulgaria.
