Mongolian judoka IM D.Sumiya made her way to the World Judo Championship semifinal in the 57 kg event, defeating Hungarian Hedvig Karakas with a waza-ari score on the third day of the competition in Chelyabinsk, Russia.

D.Sumiya will now face Brazilian Rafaela Silva.  WJC's 2013 gold medalist and 2011 bronze medalist Rafaela Silva leads the С division.

IM D.Sumiya was ranked in the quarterfinal, defeating Israel's Camila Minakawa and Hungarian Hedvig Karakas to proceed to the semifinal.
