A team consisting of five representatives each from government organizations, NGOs, researchers and media will soon leave on a 15-day journey through Mongolia, China and Russia to review the details of a Tea Road project to attract international tourists. The decision was taken at a meeting organized on June 25 by Mongolian Tea Road Association and the National Center of Tourism. It was attended by scientists, researchers, representatives of tourism and tea manufacturers and traders.
The project will study old history and archival material to recreate the old trade route for tourists to travel now, and to introduce tourism products with a Mongolian flavor. The aim is to encourage Mongolian tea production and trade as well as to popularize the tea culture that is spread over Mongolia, Russia and China.
