The 103rd International Labour Conference (ILC) is being held in Geneva Switzerland between May 28-June 12th. At the time of current global downturn, over 5000 workers, employers, and government delegates from 180 countries gathered at the World Work Summit to protect and save jobs, and to support employment.
At the ILO World of Work Report for 2014 under the theme of ‘developing with jobs’ Prime Minister N. Altankhuyag delivered a speech.
Prime Minister N. Altankhuyag said in the speech “Mongolia has become productive since it joined the ILO in 1968. Over the past three years, the economy of Mongolia has had double-digit growth. The government of Mongolia is making great efforts to develop and implement policies and strategies focused on creating jobs and increasing income. Mongolia has been supporting employment dealing with three-party agreements for the past two decades. Mongolians say “no pain no gain.”
At the ILO World of Work Report for 2014 ILO Director-General Guy Ryde held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Mongolia to discuss Mongolia`s participation in the projects implemented by the ILO.
The Labour Minister of Mongolia, Ya.Sanjmyatav and The International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, Mr Yoshiteru Uramoto worked in cooperation to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
