Ulaanbaatar city is offering a 45 mintue on way railbus service that is running from one end of the city to the other, the Tolgoit-Amgalan route, starting from today.

Preparations for the railbus were almost completed a month ago. The railbus has 136 seats and its capacity is expected to be 250-300 passengers per journey.

As it was scheduled, the railbus is in service for passengers from today. The speed of the railbus in 100 km/h and it will run in 47 minutes from Tolgoit to Amgalan, and 45 min from Amgalan to Tolgoit.

The railbus will make the journey five times a day, stopping at Tavanshar, Bars-2, the Ulaanbaatar train station, Dundgol, Narantuul and Ulaankhuaran stations between Tolgoit-Amgalan, traversing across the width (west end to east end) of the city.

Sidewalks and lighting, signs and embellishments works have been done to ensure passengers safety.

The railbus leaves at 12:45 pm today on June 6^th and will run according to a fixed timetable from June 7^th. The price will be 2000 MNT per adult.
