Ulaanbaatar hosted the 6^th meeting for the intergovernmental commission between Mongolia and Kazakhstan on trade, economy, science, technical and cultural cooperation on May 26^th and 27^th.

The meeting was represented by officials from ministries, agencies and provinces from both countries, the Ambassador from Mongolia to Kazakhstan J.Sukhee and the Ambassador from Kazakhstan to Mongolia K.I.Koblandin. Mongolian representatives were chaired by the Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare and the chairman of the Mongolia-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission S.Erdene, and Kazakhstan`s representatives were chaired by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairwoman of the intergovernmental commission, Tamara Duisenova.

At the 6^th meeting of the intergovernmental commission between Mongolia and Kazakhstan, bilateral relations and cooperation as well as the main directions and key targets for 2016 were discussed.

Parties specified particular bilateral cooperation on investment, agriculture, transport, mining, and collaboration in the region on environment, culture and education and agreed to establish a medium term program for bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and Kazakhstan. The parties also agreed on direct flights between the two countries.

Ministers also stated that the intergovernmental commissions, ministries and agencies provincial administrations would play important roles to implement these action.

The bilateral cooperation documents on trade, economy, science, technology and culture were signed by the Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare S.Erdene and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tamara Duisenova.

A cooperation Memorandum of Understanding between Mongolian and Kazakhstan Airlines was signed by Ch.Nyamsaikhan, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia and by T.T.Lastayev, deputy head of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan.

The Prime Minister of Mongolia, N.Altankhuyag, received Kazakhstan`s delegates led by the chairwoman of the intergovernmental commission Tamara Duisenova.

The next meeting of the Mongolia-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission is scheduled to be held in Astana in 2016.
