A plenary session meeting of Parliament was held behind closed doors on Thursday 8th May to discuss the issue of the resignation of Justice Minister Kh.Temuujin. However the plenary session meeting ended with the Mongolian People`s Party (MPP) taking a 5-working day interruption on the issue.
MP and member of MPRP O.Baasankhuu demanded the resignation of Justice Minister Kh.Temuujin based on several claims. The discussion of the resignation issue was delayed by a week as the MPP decided to take a break on the matter.
Some local press and websites reported about the reason the opposition interruption the issue of Justice Minister`s resignation, by saying that “MPP held up the discussion as several representatives of law enforcement agencies informed them that it has been proved Kh.Temuujin committed a crime.”
State Prosecutor General of Mongolia, D.Dorligjav, the Head of General Police Agency T.Biligt and the Head of the General Intelligence Agency, B.Ariunsan, were present during the plenary session meeting of Parliament when the matter was discussed.
The MPP caucus explained the reason behind taking a break on the discussion over the resignation of the Justice Minister was because the facts need to be reviewed. There were also additional reasons for the break because of poor attendance and polling.
