Mongolian National Script Day is annually celebrated across the country during the first week of May.

To welcome the Mongolian National Script Day, Mongolian language study faculty at the National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian University of Science and Technology are holding a Traditional Mongolian Script State Competition named after the people`s teacher D.Choijilsuren along with the Culture, Sport and Tourism Ministry and Mongolian culture and script “Khos Uyanga” NGO.

The Traditional Mongolian Script State Competition is a popular event across the  country that aims to promote and expand the use of traditional Mongolian script in the online world.

The State Competition is being held for the 13th year among universities in professional and non-professional categories. The State Competition was held among civil servants for the 5th year and for the 3rd time among Mongolian language teachers at secondary schools.
