World Kidney Day is celebrated annually on the second Thursday in March globally. World Kidney Day was first organized by the International Society of Nephrology and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations in 2006 has been in Mongolia since 2009. World Kidney Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of kidneys to overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems workdwide.

On World Kidney Day in Mongolia the State First Clinical Hospital offers patients free diagnosis and treatment throughout the day, today on March 13th.
