production of milk and meat meets the entire demand in Mongolia but 56 percent
of the flour, and 100 percent of the sugar and vegetable oil are imported. Their
prices fluctuate constantly, affecting people’s lives.
The
Government us seeking the power to fix the customs tariffs so that supply meets
demand. It will also improve the financial capability of domestic manufacturers
and raise production. Agricultural production will also increase, creating
jobs. This will result in higher budget income. Consumers can use cheaper imported
products when domestic supply is disrupted because of factors such as natural disasters.
