The State Academic Drama Theatre has announced its launch of a camera and play project to stage seven different plays chosen and adapted by seven authors for this season.

For the project the following directors will adapt their chosen works:

State Prized, theatre director N.Naranbaatar chose a novel “Interview” by Mongolian poet L.Ulziitugs,

People`s artist B.Munkhdorj  chose a novel by Russian playwright  Alexander  Vampilov,

State Merit Figure, director B.Baatar settled on the novel “An innocent convict” by A.Ochirbat,

State Merit Figure, theatre and screen director N.Gankhuyag will stage his playscript  “Rooster, dog and pig ”,

State Merit Figure, director of the State Academic Drama Theatre Ch.Naidandorj will stage the play  “the Open Couple” by the Nobel prize-winning playwright Dario Fo,

Director Ch.Tuvshin chose the novel “Sorry, Wrong Number” by American screenwriter Lucille Fletcher,

Director Ts.Batnairamdal chose the play “Mannequin” by Russian playwright Nicolai Koliada. 

The prominent directors are expected to announce the launch of the first of the plays at the end of this month. 

The State Academic Drama Theatre had scheduled to show Faust again this year, however due to the launch of this special project it is now being postponed until next year.
