
Haranga, the most acclaimed rock band in Mongolia, have performed a series of successful concerts since the band was first established in 1989 as the first Mongolian hard rock band. Haranga (a gong used in Buddhist rituals) is to release a biography of 25 years on stage to celebrate their 25th anniversary this year. The biography is now ready for publication and includes rare pictures, memories and history.
In the 1990s, the singles “Shuuder tsetseg”, and “Uguilen sanana” by Haranga became hits. Haranga has released over one decade “Erin zyyni Khug” (The Sound of the Century, 1997), Best of Haranga (1997), “Bodlin Tengis” (The Ocean of Thought, Unplugged, 2000), “Ertuntsiin ungu” (Color of the World, 2003) and a Special Edition Gold (2007).
