
The guest delegation is headed by CMTU President Kh.Amgalanbaatar.
At the talks, part of the Mongolian delegation’s visit to Vietnam from November 16-21, the two sides briefed each other on the current situation of the two countries’ trade unions.
They also demonstrated their determination to further promote co-operation between the two organizations through specific activities.
VGCL President Dang Ngoc Tung applauded the delegation’s visit to Vietnam, saying that the visit will contribute to strengthening the co-operation between the two sides, thus promoting solidarity and friendship between the two states, their peoples and the working classes.
While briefing the guests on the labor and employment situation in Vietnam, Tung stressed that Vietnam’s trade union organizations make every effort to protect the rights and interests of laborers.
He spoke highly of the CMTU’s support for Vietnam, expressing his hope that the confederation will continue to assist and share experience with the Vietnamese side in the field.
For his part, Kh.Amgalanbaatar said the CMTU plans to recruit more trade union members, focusing on admitting young members.
The CMTU defined four major objectives in the time to come: improving living conditions for its members, protecting laborers’ right, enhancing international co-operation in the field and the increasing the effectiveness of foreign investment in trade union activities.
During their five-day stay in Vietnam, the Mongolian delegation has visited the Vietnam Mineral Coal trade union, the Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited and trade unions in several provinces and cities nationwide.
