On January 31st, 2014, 40 years of enduring diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany will take place. The third neighbor of Mongolia, the Federal Republic of Germany, is the key partner of Mongolia in the European Union.

Diplomatic relations were established between Mongolia and Germany 40 years ago and has expanded into all-field of society and developed into a comprehensive partnership.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Bold is expected to head the organizing committee, the members of which were approved by a session meeting of Parliament for the scheduled events during the 40th anniversary.

Diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany go back to 1974. But bilateral cooperation was first intensified in the 1920s when Mongolians first headed to Germany for education. Since then over 30,000 Mongolians have received higher education in German institutions, promoting good bilateral relations.
