The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj is to visit the Democratic People”s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on October 27th.

It will be the first state visit to the DPRK by a foreign leader since North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took the power in 2012.

During the visit President Ts.Elbegdorj and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will exchange views on bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and DPRK  as well as regional collaboration.

The visit comes at the same time as the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and North Korea. It is also the 25th anniversary of the first visit by former North Korean leader Kim Il Sung to Mongolia.
