Two separate courts sentenced the former MIAT directors over the MIAT money laundering case. However the investigation into one of the suspects who might have been involved in the case, a member of the Constitutional Court D.Sugar, has been suspended.
The State Prosecutor General`s Office submitted a request to remit D.Sugar`s power as a member of the Constitutional Court twice but was rejected. The investigation has started but questioning and expert`s conclusion were left incomplete. The evidence has been collected but the investigation has been stopped due to the power of a member of the Constitutional Court.

D.Sugar was investigated as a suspect in the MIAT money laundering case during his term as the head of the State Property Committee.

According to local newspaper reports D.Sugar is suspected as being involved in the illegal privatization of state property and objects to Ch.Khorolsuren who was charged in the MIAT money laundering case.
