The “Calligraphy Art” exhibition opens today in Ulaanbaatar under the joint organization of the Mongolian Modern Calligraphy Association and “976” Art Gallery on October 7th.

The exhibition presents calligraphy art by talented Mongolian artists and calligraphers Ts.Tamir, D.Ganbaatar, L.Tuvshinjargal and D.Battumur.

The artists and calligraphers want to highlight the specialties of Mongolian modern calligraphy within the exhibition.

Calligrapher D.Batttumur is applauded bringing his very own composition and theme restoration into Mongolian modern calligraphy while L.Tuvshinjargal brings his skillful techniques using white ink and intense drawing practice.

Sophisticated harmony between modern art and calligraphy is seen in calligrapher Ts.Tamir`s calligraphy.

Calligrapher D.Ganbaatar devotes himself to the beautiful traditional Mongolian script while establishing the Literacy and Culture Center, in his efforts to make it more popular.

The “Calligraphy Art” exhibition will open at the “976” Gallery on the fifth floor of Max Mall center until October 27th.  The exhibition will be presented in the Australian National Gallery next June in 2014.
