Speaker receives Russian Ambassador V.V.Samoilenko

The Speaker of the State Great Khural, or Parliament, Z.Enkhbold received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia V.V.Samoilenko on Tuesday October 1st as he will soon come to the end of his term as Ambassador.

Speaker Enkhbold emphasized that Ambassador V.V.Samoilenko played a big role in enhancing good neighborly bilateral relations between Mongolia and Russia and in particular intergovernmental relations during his term over the past four years. He continued pointing out the significance of cooperation to intensify bilateral relations between legislative bodies of the two countries, parliamentary groups, political parties in parliament and citizens of Mongolia and Russia.

Speaker Enkhbold also commented that keeping frequent high –level reciprocal visits by leaders and Parliamentarians and talks is essential for the bilateral cooperation development. The Speaker said that he hopes representatives of the Russian Parliament will participate in an active manner at the meeting of the Women Parliamentarians of Northeast Asian Countries that will be held in Ulaanbaatar on 24th and 25th November.

The Speaker said that the Mongolian Parliament is supporting intense talks over the ability of citizens of the two countries to travel without a visa adding his hopes that the visa agreement will give a boost to bilateral relations, trade and economy.

At the end of the meeting Speaker Enkhbold wished success and good health to Ambassador V.V.Samoilenko.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to Speaker Enkhbold for the appreciation of his efforts emphasizing the Speaker`s planned visit to Russia is essential to intensify bilateral relations and cooperation, and in particular, intergovernmental relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador also commented on bilateral relations regarding culture, education, science, sports and humanities saying they have boomed and shared the news that over 100 participants will take part in Russian cultural events that will be happening soon.
