The Canadian city of Montreal has residents
from 80 countries speaking 35 languages. It also has a sizable Mongolian
population, whose association, called The Union of Mongolians in Montreal (UMM),
last Sunday held a Mongolian Day in the popular Angrignon Mall.
Items and objects relating to Mongolian life were on show and Mongolian food
was on sale. Mongolian songs and folk dances were performed. The Mongolian
Ambassador to Canada, T.Zalaa-Uul, assured UMM President D.Lhagvasuren of
all help in future such celebrations.
The money collected at the show will be donated to the Lotus Orphan
Center in Ulaanbaatar, run by Didi Kalika.
