G.Erkhembayar holder of the State Lion titled has become the Champion winning his first National Wrestling Tournament. At the tournament 512 wrestlers competed on the days between July 11th and 12th for the 2222nd anniversary of the founding of the first Mongolian State, the 807th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and the 92nd anniversary of Mongolian People`s Revolution. This is the first time a wrestler from Selenge aimag has become a Champion of the National Wrestling Tournament.

In the final round G.Erkhembayar defeated the State Falcon titled B.Gonchigdamba who has been newly granted title of Garuda.

The new State Champion G.Erkhembayar became the State Lion title by winning nine rounds but lost to State Champion S.Munkhbat during the National Wrestling Tournament where 1,024 wrestlers competed two years ago.

He also survived till the semi-final round of the National Wrestling Tournament for Naadam last year.

The new State Garuda titled B.Gonchigdamba was granted the State Falcon title during Naadam in 2011 winning five rounds. Last year he also confirmed his previous success by again winning five rounds during  the National Wrestling Tournament for Naadam.

The National Wrestling Tournament for Naadam on the three special anniversaries was held particularly for young and strong wrestlers who were granted new titles including two Falcons, three Hawks, an Elephant, a Garuda and a Champion.
