The City Specialized Inspection Agency revealed 14 radioactive cars as result of tests conducted in Custom control since January 1st from 10,349 imported vehicles from Japan.

These radioactive cars have been delivered to the National Emergency Management Agency via the Nuclear Energy Authority of Mongolia.

The City Specialized Inspection Agency released a warning to individuals and entities to have radiation tests and to enclose the radiation certificate when importing a vehicle from Japan, or not to import the vehicle if any radiation is discovered in the vehicles.

Since the nuclear accident in 2011  after the Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami, Mongolian Customs has conducted radiation control on imported vehicles from Japan.
