
The Minister of Justice Kh.Temuujin received Mr. Ronald Kenneth Noble and expressed special thanks for paying Mongolia a visit during this particular time of judicial reform and during the submission of a draft law on the investigation department”s ability to fight against new kinds of crimes.
Minister Kh.Temuujin underlined that Mongolia is inexperienced in fighting against crimes that are new to Mongolia such as human and heroin trafficking, money laundering and smuggling cultural artifacts following the mining boom.
He therefore stated that international experience, professional skill, cooperation and technical assistance is needed to help fight and prevent these new crimes.
Secretary General Noble said that he never expected that he would visit Mongolia with such a rich history and stated that he would cooperate by supporting Mongolia in judicial reform and with anti-corruption.
Both parties agreed during the talks to implement a joint project against cyber crimes, human trafficking and on heroin by tighten controls on Mongolian nationalities and foreigners` identity cards and other documents at the border.
After the talks with the Justice Minister, Secretary General Noble added that INTERPOL would deploy a team in order to carry out special training for special agents and police officers to fight against crimes.
