During Saturday’s Cabinet meeting the Government discussed the issue of the budget for the preparation for Naadam and approved the 1.5 billion MNT budget as proposed by the organizing committee.

The total budget is 1.5 billion MNT for Naadam. While the Capital city will invest 380 million MNT, 350 million will come from the ticket sales and 840 million MNT from the Government.

Past budgets for Nadaam preparation have been 1.7 billion MNT in 2010, 1.3 billion MNT in 2011 and 950 million in 2012.

This year the 1.5 billion MNT budget includes expenses for art and culture performances and was approved for the preparation work for Naadam.

Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag said that 50 billion MNT was proposed for a 5 year development plan for re-construction projects in Khui doloon khudag not for the preparation of the Naadam festival.
