The court in Khovd aimag has charged an illegal trader of rare animal.
A Chinese illegal trader pleaded guilty to the charge of trading numerous specimens of wildlife such bear fur, Altai snowcocks, wolf skulls and grouse in Ulgii sum, Bayan-Ulgii aimag.
According to Article 203.1 of the criminal law of Mongolia the court in Khovd aimag imposed fines 100 times that of the minimum labor wage to the illegal trader for rare animal trading.
The illegal trader was forced to pay 10.2 million MNT in compensation for rare animal trading during the investigation.
The illegal animal trader was arrested while he was carrying rare animals and animal parts to Bulgan sum in Khovd aimag during December 2010.
