The Democratic Party (DP) is expected to name the DP candidate for the Presidential Election at the National Consultative Committee meeting today, Tuesday May 7th.

But in Tuesday`s National Consultative Committee meeting no one except President Ts.Elbegdorj to be declared as a candidacy.

DP`s National Consultative Committee meeting discussed the issue on Ts.Elbegdorj`s candidacy and accepted his candidacy for the Presidential Election 2013 with 181 votes, 100 percent of the Committee members.

Thus MPP candidate B.Bat-Erdene and DP candidate Ts.Elbegdorj have been granted the right to run in the Presidential Election in June.

DP`s National Consultative Committee meeting has also appointed an Acting General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Ts.Oyundari, to the General Secretary and enacted a rule to elect a candidate for the Presidential Election of Mongolia.
