A private zoo holder held a press conference opposing the decision to close down his zoo on Tuesday April 23rd.  The man claimed that he had run his travelling zoo permanently for the past few years. He started travelling with his zoo from 2007 in the countryside to show it to children in order to promote how to look after and love animals. In 2010 the zoo contained 30 animals.

Since 2012 the owner rented a place in the Buddha Park in the Zaisan monument area in Ulaanbaatar city to amuse people with his zoo. The National Tourism Center has now however delivered a note asking him to evacuate from the area on April 11th.

The zoo keeper has delivered a request to issue land for a public zoo park in Ulaanbaatar city to the related officials.

He also announced that if the authorities do not listen to his request he will hold a demonstration with 100 animals in Sukhbaatar Square next month.
