The Oyu Tolgoi LLC shareholders’ meeting that was apparently scheduled to take place yesterday, March 20th, did not take place. According to the Oyu Tolgoi Media Relations Office in Ulaanbaatar although the news was spread by the media and press, they deny that the meeting was scheduled for March 20th.

A Media Relations official Ch.Burenbayar told a Montsame Agency reporter that “no meeting was scheduled. However in the press the meeting was reported to take place on Wednesday March 20th. We contacted these media telling them that it was not true. Actually, the meeting has not been scheduled yet and involved parties are still under negotiations regarding the issue”.

The last shareholders meeting was held at the Ikh Tenger Complex on February 27th and the first meeting took place on February 6th.
