The Traffic Police Department reported that a total of 39,000 driving licenses were printed out before Tsagaan Sar.

Currently the driving licenses ordered by new drivers who passed their exam last August have been printed. The driving licenses that are reissues, such as for a class upgraded or a lost license are now being printed.

The remaining 30,000 driving licenses will be printed out in early March.

Currently there are between 400 and 500 orders for re-issues of driving licenses every day, not including new driving licenses.

Currently the company that is in charge of printing driving licenses prints 1200-1300 licenses a day.

Due to legal issues relating to the printing company the issuing of driving licenses had been halted for months. This caused unrest and debate with the public who had to wait for their licenses to be issued.

The company began printing driving licenses again from December 2012.
