According to the rule a convict is not allowed to be taken to city or local Medical centers for treatment.
But N.Udval, the Minister for Health, a member of MPRP delivered a notice to Kh.Temuujin, Minister for Justice asking to have the rule changed.
N.Udval says the rule severely violates the human right to live. If Kh.Temuujin changes the rule, former president N.Enkhbayar will be taken to the State Second Hospital for treatment.
But N.Enkhbayar, whether or not taken to the hospital, is not expected to serve his senence like other convicts in prison. A convict is usually taken directly to prison after they hear their sentence. However, N.Enkhbayar although given his sentence, has not yet served his jail term in prison.
According to an official source ”It is still unclear when he will be taken to prison. It depends on his health condition. If his health problems get worse it will be complicated to take him to prison.
Since there is no rule about the time of a sick convict`s treatment in hospital, N.Enkhbayar can serve his jail term in hospital”.
N.Udval, Minister for Health, said that it is impossible to diagnose former president`s illness.
But Mongolian doctors rejected the announcement about N.Enkhbayar`s illness.
D.Dorjsuren, Chief physician, diagnosed N.Enkhbayar who he says suffers from organ system reduction and acute toxemia due to stress.
