A nurse accidently washed a baby with boiling water in Bayankhongor aimag on December 29th inciting public anger. The baby was delivered to the baby rehabilitation unit  at the National Trauma Orthopedic and Research Center with burns and to an intensive care unit for burned children in the Maternal and Children`s Health Center this morning.

The baby`s father said the following:

 “My baby girl is being treated in hospital and my wife cannot leave her bedside. We believe she will be fine.”

A criminal proceeding has been initiated for the nurse who failed her responsibility during her scheduled time. When the baby girl was delivered to the City hospital she was diagnosed with third degree burns. She was even transferred to the Maternal and Children`s Health Center and she is expected to be under intensive control and regular checks by doctors from the Trauma Orthopedic and Research Center.  N.Udval, the Minister of Health called a press conference along with doctors from the Maternal and Children`s Health Center and National Trauma Orthopedic and Research Center.  During the press conference the Minister placed the blame with the nurse for failing her responsibility.
