
The prize was awarded on the decision of the European Business Assembly and the Socrates Committee to Baasankhuu Budjav, representative of Mongolia`s Academy of Science in Russia`s Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for his efforts in science development over the past 20 years.
Baasansuren Budjav has studied reindeer with scientific purpose and conducted surveys on reindeer tissue to use in Mongolian-Tibetan Medicine for decades. He made a presentation under the title of cautery treatment using the combination of reindeer horn and traditional Mongolian melted butter in Vienna.
Baasansuren Budjav stated when he received his prize; “We Mongolians practically have dealt with earth, herbs and all pieces of animals from nature and benefited from it since long ago. The knowledge of nomads have helped scientists to study earth more deeply and discover good things for humankind”.
Last year Baasansuren Budjav was also awarded the prize “Committed researcher to humankind”.
