
The National Renewable Energy Center has conducted numerous research and surveys on the development of renewable energy resource using solar, wind, water, biomass, hot mineral water and the ground-heat. A feasibility study on Chargait hydro-electric station is the largest of over 60 feasibility studies developed by Mongolian scientists and experts independently. B.Altangerel, the chief of the National Renewable Energy Center stated that the Center would further replace the central heating system partially in sums and local areas in the city.
The solar battery production in the National Renewable Energy Center has currently stopped. The Minister M.Sonompil wanted to know if the National Renewable Energy Center needed support from the Ministry to develop any projects or programs related to renewable energy.
The Chief of the National Renewable Energy Center expressed their pleasure in the Minister`s visit due to the project plans within the Chinggis bond and wished to cooperate on developing Shuren and Egiin gol hydro-electric stations with the Ministry of Energy. Minister M.Sonompil gave directions to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy to focus on renewable energy projects by having feasibility studies done by the National Renewable Energy Center.
